Aziel has taken the time to setup an IRC server for Skotos and Marrach. Though Aziel is a coder for Skotos, the chat server is not supported by Skotos directly. It is Aziel's server. The following is copied from a post Aziel made on the Skotos Forums:
As some of you are already aware, I am running an IRC server for Skotos players. Everyone is invited to come on over and have a chat. Perhaps play a few games of trivia or whatnot. There are only a few rules:
- I am the sole oper. My law is right.
- Do not trade large files through my bandwidth. If you do, I will disable the ability to do so completely.
- Do not hack my system. If you do, you will be klined. No questions asked.
What you can do:
- Run bots if you wish. I have no problem with that.
- Create game channels, private channels, etc.
- Have fun.
If there are others who are running IRC for Skotos or other online games and you wish to join them, let me know. That can be arranged also.
So come on over. Spread the word. Bring your friends.
Server: irc.eternalis.com
Port: 6665-6669
The channel for Castle Marrach is #marrach.
There are various IRC clients a person can use to connect, including a web-based client that Aziel has set up:
- mIRC - mIRC is a Windows IRC client. Note: Though it says it is shareware, you can still use it after it has expired.
- Trillian - Trillian has an IRC client built into it as one of its services. (For Windows.)
- Eternalis IRC Client - This is the web-based IRC client set up by Aziel used to connect to the Eternalis IRC server.
If anyone knows another good IRC client, please contact me. I'm particularly looking for any non-Windows operating systems. You can PM "Steve S" through the Skotos Forums.
